Finally The Beginning

Getting ready to start packing again. Packing my room. Assessing the little stuff: keep it or toss it? Thrift store or keepsake box? Making a list of what I’ll need when I live on my own (the list is getting really long). I’m moving to Santa Barbara in just a couple weeks. It’s a dream come true. Ever since I was very young and I would go to Santa Barbara with my mom for her company softball games and we would find ourselves on beautiful adventures; I always wanted to live in that place. When I got older, my dad and I would go on our little father-daughter dates and I always picked Santa Barbara…I wanted to be there at any opportunity. Now, I am grown, and only six months ago I was offered a job in that beautiful place at a company I never even dreamed I would get to work for. Now, I am about to start a chapter of my life that I’ve been waiting for for so long. I am feeling amazingly blessed at the moment, even through the logistical and transitional overwhelm. I know that I am inch by inch and moment by moment giving myself what I need and want in life, and although this is a constant truth, I have never felt it so prominent as I do right now. Maybe the stress and excitement is forcing me to be most present, or maybe this presence has come due to loss of control. All I can do is smile and feel this right now. Now is forever.
